Step 2

Wear an ESD wrist strap.

Step 3

Remove the two interface modules from the controller to be replaced.
1.

Check the status of the Power indicator/Hot Swap button on the interface module to
determine whether the interface module is successfully powered off, as shown in 

Figure

5-33

.

If the indicator is off, the interface module is successfully powered off. Proceed to

Step 3.2

.

–

If the indicator is on, use a paper clip or a similar object to press the Power
indicator/Hot Swap button on the interface module to power off the interface
module.

Remove the cables from the interface module.

3.

Press the latch on the interface module to release the handle and pull out the interface
module, as shown in
