8 Performing Conference Control Operations

If the conference is password protected, in the displayed
Conference password
dialog box,
enter the conference password and tap
OK
.
Step 3
After becoming the chair site, you can tap
Release Chair
to release the chair control rights.
You can also tap
Request Chair
under the virtual HD display area to request chair control rights.
If a chair site exits the conference, the chair control rights are released automatically.

8.5 Giving the Floor to a Site
Context
Using the
Give Floor
function, the chair site can broadcast the audio and video of a site to all
the other sites in the conference. If a site is given the floor, only the microphones of the site
given the floor and the chair site are not muted. To unmute the microphones of all sites,
enable discussion. Depending on the settings on the ResourceManager (RM) or Service
Management Center (SMC), the site given the floor will view either of the following sites:
The site itself
The chair site
Procedure
Step 1
Tap the desired site in the site list.
Step 2
Tap
. You can then view and hear the site.
Step 3
Tap
Discussion
to take back the floor.

8.6 Broadcasting a Site
Context
Using the
Broadcast Site
function, the chair site can enable all the sites in a conference to
view a specified site. When that site is being broadcast, the chair site can still view all sites.
Depending on the settings on the ResourceManager (RM) or Service Management Center
(SMC), the broadcast site views one of the following sites:
The site that the broadcast site was viewing before being broadcast
The broadcast site itself
The chair site

Tap the desired site in the site list.
