When handling the heatsink, always hold it along the top and bottom of the fins.
Holding it from the sides can damage the fins.

Observe the label on the heatsink. Tightening or loosening the screws in the wrong
order can damage the heatsink.

Remove all power:
a.
Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b.
Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4.
Do one of the following:
a. Extend the server from the rack

b. Remove the server from the rack
.
6.
Remove the processor heatsink assembly:
a.
Allow the heatsink to cool.
b.
Loosen the heatsink nuts in the order specified by the label on the heatsink.
