public-key local import
to import an RSA key pair in PEM format.

rsa
: Specifies an RSA key pair.
name
key-name
: Specifies a name for the imported RSA key pair. The
key-name
argument is a
case-insensitive string of 1 to 64 characters, including letters, digits, and hyphens (-).
pem
: Specifies the PEM format.
Usage guidelines
The system saves the imported RSA key pair at a different location from the default RSA key pair to
avoid overwriting the default RSA key pair.
The RSA key pair to be imported must be in PEM format so that it can be copied and pasted onto the
terminal.
After you execute the
public-key local import
command, copy the private key of the RSA key pair
onto the terminal when prompted. The public key is included in the private key.
The imported RSA key pair must have been encrypted with a password. You are asked to provide the
password when importing the key pair.
