Replacing the Processor

Install the new processor and clip it into place.

Replace the airflow guide aligning the clips with the holes on the 
power supply.

•

Desktop:

 insert the bottom clip in the hole first, then squeezing the 

airflow guide on both sides, insert the side clips.

•

Minitower:

 insert the clips on one side first, and once these are engaged, 

insert the clips on the other side.

Replace the cover (described in this chapter).

Ensure that the latest version of BIOS is installed on your PC. To 
learn which version of BIOS is currently installed on your PC, press 

ESC

 during startup. To get the latest BIOS version for your PC,
