Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:

1.

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for disassembly on page 34

).

2.

Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (

Battery Safe mode on page 34

).

3.

Remove the bottom cover (

Bottom cover on page 36

).

4.

Remove the battery (

Battery on page 35

).

5.

Disconnect the antenna cables from the WLAN module (select products only) (

WLAN/Bluetooth combo 

card on page 39

).

6.

Disconnect the antenna cables from the WWAN module (select products only (

WWAN module 

on page 41

).

Remove the power connector cable:

1.

Remove the two Torx T8 2.5 × 4.0 screws from the right hinge (1).

2.

Rotate the hinge up from the power connector (2).

3.

Disconnect the cable from the system board (3).

4.

Use a tool to release the connector from the computer (4).

Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable.
