Installing Drivers

If you have formatted the OmniBook’s hard disk drive and loaded your company’s
disk image, the 

Recovery CD

 provides OmniBook-specific software and device

drivers that you can add to your build image.

This section describes how to

♦ 

Find individual audio, video, infrared, and PC Card drivers for various
operating systems including the following:

 o 

MS-DOS.

 o 

Windows for Workgroups.

 o 

Windows NT 4.0.

 Each driver has a README file with instructions.

♦ 

Install a PC Card or parallel port CD-ROM drive from a floppy boot disk.

 A CD-ROM drive is required for installing drivers from the 

Recovery CD

.

♦ 

Install an operating system (other than Windows 95 factory-installation).
