—  If the internal temperature of a power supply unit exceeds 85°C (185°F), the 

power supply unit automatically shuts down. 

• 

Monitors and reports the status of the power supply units, blowers, and system 
(when the SCSI adapter or RAID controller supports this function): 

—  If the controller detects a device fault, it can send a signal to the EMU to 

blink the specific device status LED rapidly. 

—  If the user requests identification of a device, the controller can cause the 

EMU to blink the status LED of the specific device slowly.  

 

NOTE:  The system must have both an Ultra320 I/O Module and an Ultra320 EMU for data 
transfer rates to achieve Ultra320 speeds. The firmware on the hard drives must be upgraded 
to ensure that the drives can also operate at Ultra320 speed.
