Upper Data PCA device configuration may be displayed with the following commands:
Command
Action
SHOW MUX
Display the device configuration
SHOW MUX LINEORDER
Display the channel connection order
SHOW MUX CONNECTIONS
Display the channel connections
SHOW MUX STATISTICS
Display the channel I/O statistics for the active connections
Lower Data PCA unit configuration may be displayed with the following commands:
Command
Action
SHOW MUXL<n>
Display the selected channel’s configuration
SHOW MUXL<n> LOG
Display the selected channel’s logging status
In addition to the current configuration settings, a channel controlled by the Control PCA will be marked
data set
in
the listing; a channel not controlled will be marked
direct
.
When a debug log has been established, tracing of the Upper PCA device may be configured by specifying one or
more of these reporting level options:
Option
Reporting Level
CPU
Words received from and sent to the CPU
IOBUS
I/O bus signals and data words received and returned
Tracing of the Lower PCA device may be configured by specifying these options:
Option
Reporting Level
CMDS
Command initiations and completions
CPU
Words received from and sent to the CPU
XFER
Data receptions and transmissions
IOBUS
I/O bus signals and data words received and returned
The
CMDS
option traces the commands executed by the multiplexer. The
CPU
option traces words received from
(control and write data) and sent to (status and read data) the CPU. The
XFER
option traces the words received
and transmitted via the multiplexer channels. The
IOBUS
option traces the I/O backplane signals and data
received and returned via the interface.
Examples of the trace formats follow:
>>MUXL cmds: Transmit channel 0 interrupt requested
>>MUXL cmds: Receive channel 0 parameter 130405 stored
>>MUX cpu: [LIx] Status = 000001, channel = 0
>>MUX cpu: [OTx] Data channel = 1
>>MUXL xfer: Channel 0 character LF sent
>>MUXL xfer: Channel 0 character 'H' received
>>MUXL xfer: Channel 2 break detected
>>MUX iobus: Received data 000000 with signals IOI
>>MUX iobus: Returned data 000001
