CHDIR
This command c hanges the pro cess' curren t w orking directory (CWD).
Syntax

P arameters
dir name The name of the new curren t directory (optional). The
dir name is assumed to b e an MPE name. Y ou can c hange to
HFS-named directories if dir name starts with a dot (.) or a
slash (/). The dir name may not end in a slash, and using
wildcards is not allo w ed. If dir name is omitted, y our logon
directory is used. Y our logon directory is y our logon group, in
the form: /LOGON_ACCOUNT/LOGON_GROUP .
SHOW Displays to $STDLIST the absolute pathname of the \directory
c hanged to". SHOW is the default.
NOSHOW Do es not display the absolute pathname.
Operation Notes
Y ou can use the CHDIR command to c hange the pro cess' CWD to dir name . If
dir name is omitted, the logon group is assumed. The user alwa ys has a logon
group.
The CHDIR command c hanges the CWD to an MPE-named directory . This
means that dir name m ust follo w all MPE naming rules, unless it is prexed
with a dot (.) or a slash (/).
Y ou can c hange the CWD to an y HFS directory , MPE accoun t, or MPE group
where y ou ha v e the appropriate p ermission.
The CWD is a pro cess-lo cal attribute. When CHDIR is executed from the CI,
the CI's CWD is c hanged for the life of that CI pro cess (or un til another CHDIR
command is issued). When CHDIR is executed programmatically from a c hild
