obje ctname Sp ecies the actual le designator, directory name, logical
device n um b er, or device class whose securit y pro visions y ou
w an t to alter.
Either MPE or hierarchical le system (HFS) le name
syn tax may b e used for the actual le designator of the le or
directory whose access p ermissions are to b e altered.
Y ou can only use wildcard c haracters with MPE syn tax les
that reside in a group.
A logical device n um b er m ust b e a n umeric v alue congured
on the system, or an @ sign, that indicates all devices on the
system. A device class name m ust b e congured on the system.
File equations are ignored during resolution of the ob ject
name to a v oid ha ving acciden tal le equation references cause
unin ten tional c hanges to an ob ject's access p ermissions.
