7. Release the PCI hold-down latch to open the slot. See Figure 6-3.

The PCI hold-down latch is used to keep the PCI boards in place and to
activate the PCI slot power switch and PCI LED board.
8. Remove the PCI slot cover from the HP NetServer’s rear panel before
installing the new board into the slot. See Figure 6-4.
NOTE
The PCI slot covers use spring tension and the PCI hold-down
latch to hold the slot cover/board in place instead of a screw
commonly used on HP NetServers.
