8 For Authorized Windows User, enter icspUser.
9 Click Install.
10 Click Browse and navigate to the location where you mounted the SPP ISO.
11 Click Install.
12 Click Close, and then click Close again.
Load the VMware ESXi Image
The latest version of HPE ICsp at the time that the solution was tested did not have an automatic setup utility
for VMware ESXi 6.5. Follow the instructions in this procedure to configure the ICsp media server to serve
VMware ESXi 6.5. You must run the media server setup utility to properly configure Microsoft IIS to serve
out any VMware bits.
To perform this procedure, locate the HPE VMware ESXi media that is listed in
on page 12.
Procedure
1 Mount the HPE VMware ESXi ISO file on the management VM either by using Virtual Media or by copying
the ISO to the management VM and using Windows to mount it for you.
2 Navigate to the desktop of the <<mgmt_vm_name>> VM and double-click icsp-mediaserver-setup.exe.
3 In the HP Install Package window, click Run.
4 Click Continue.
The Browse for Folder window opens.
5 Select Media (E:), and then select ICsp.
6 Click OK.
7 Clear the Select All checkbox and select ESXi 6.5.
8 Click Install.
9 Keep the Windows File Share Name option as deployment.
10 Click Install.
11 Click Install, but do not specify the distribution location.
You will manually specify the location in a later procedure.
12 Click Close, and then click Close again.
13 Navigate to
E:\ICsp\Media
.
14 Create a directory called
esxi65
and copy the contents of the mounted HPE VMware ESXi ISO into this
directory.
Load VMware VIBs
Validated Software and Firmware Levels
on page 12 lists the .vib updates and patches to VMware software
that are required for the solution. Perform the steps in this procedure to add them to the media server. If no
updates are required, skip this procedure.
Procedure
1 Obtain the necessary .vib updates and patch bundles (.zip files).
2 Navigate to the
E:\ICSP\media
directory.
3 Click Make New Folder and create the
E:\ICSP\media\updates\vmware
directory structure.
4 Copy the necessary .vib and .zip files to
E:\ICSP\media\updates\vmware
