Import the DL Management Servers
Procedure
1 From the top left corner of the HPE OneView UI, choose HP OneView > Server Hardware.
2 Click Add server hardware and enter the following information:
• iLO IP address or host name: <<mgmt_server_1_ilo_ip>>.
• Add server hardware as: Managed.
• User name: admin.
• Password: <<mgmt_server_ilo_password>>.
• Licensing: HP OneView Advanced.
3 Click Add.
4 Repeat the procedure for each management server in the solution.
Create Networks
When creating networks, you must specify the purpose of the network for the HPE OneView for vCenter
plugin to function and configure the compute hosts properly. You can have only one management network.
The example in the procedure uses only the Mgmt_A management network.
For ease of reference, the procedure shows how to configure separate management and deployment VLANs.
This setup is more complex to configure and more likely to be implemented because the existing network
most likely already runs DHCP and PXE services that could conflict. However, it is acceptable to have
management and deployment on the same network. In this case, the network that you use for deployment
has to be a native/untagged VLAN to the blade for proper PXE support.
Procedure
1 From the top left corner of the HPE OneView UI, choose HP OneView > Networks.
2 Click Create network.
3 Use the information in the following table to create Ethernet networks. For all Ethernet networks, select
the Smart Link checkbox and do not select the Private Network checkbox.
