8 Wait for the settings to be applied. After the configuration is complete, close the OneView VM VMware
console.
Apply Patches to the HPE OneView VM
Depending on the version of HPE OneView that you are using, you may need to apply patches to the VM. If
an update is required, do not use Microsoft Internet Explorer to upload the update package because this
browser cannot handle large file sizes. Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to complete this setup.
Procedure
1 Log in to the HPE OneView Web Administration Portal.
2 From the top left corner of the UI, choose HP OneView > Settings:
a From the top right-side of the window, choose Actions > Update Appliance.
b Click Browse, navigate to the patch, and click Open.
c Click Upload and Install.
The upload process might take several minutes depending on the speed of the connection to the HPE
OneView server.
d When prompted, click Continue and then click Agree and Update in the EULA to install the update.
3 After the installation, the appliance may reboot.
Complete the HPE OneView Configuration from the Web UI
Procedure
1 Log in to the HPE OneView Web Administration Portal.
2 From the top left corner of the UI, choose HP OneView > Settings.

on page 97 has custom values for MAC addresses, world wide
names (WWNs), and serial numbers, delete the default ranges and add new ranges.
For example, to change the range for MAC addresses, do the following:
a Hover your cursor over Address and Identifiers and, to the right, click Edit.
b To the right of Remaining Column, click the X to delete the default range.
c Click Add custom range and enter the following information:

Count: <<oneview_mac_count>>.
d Click Add.
4 Add custom ranges for WWNs and serial numbers as needed.
5 Click OK in the Edit Address and Identifiers window.
6 From the top left corner of the UI, choose HP OneView > Users and Groups.
