Administrators must apply the following password guidelines:

Avoid using incrementing passwords with a digit.
•
Avoid preceding or appending passwords with a number.
•
Avoid using passwords that others can easily guess.
•
Avoid using words from popular culture.
•
Avoid thinking of passwords as just full words.
•
Enforce using passwords that require users to type with both hands on the keyboard.
•
Enforce using uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols in all passwords.
•
Enforce using space characters and characters that can be produced only by pressing the Alt
key.
These guidelines should be used for all account passwords within the iLO board.

HP StorageWorks Secure Path Account
HP StorageWorks Secure Path is a high availability multi-pathing software product providing continuous
data access from HP’s RAID Array to host servers running the Windows Server 2003, Windows
StorageServer 2003, Windows 2000, Windows Powered Operating System, Windows NT, Linux, Sun
Solaris, Novell NetWare, IBM AIX, and HP-UX operating systems. Redundant hardware, advanced RAID
technology and Secure Path's automated failover capability are used to enhance fault tolerance and
availability. Secure Path effectively eliminates controllers, disk drives, interconnect hardware and host bus
adapters as single points of failure in the storage subsystem.

HP Insight Manager Administrator Account
HP Insight Manager represents the convergence between HP Insight Manager (Win32) and HP Insight
Manager XE. The HP Insight Manager home page provides views of managed devices that may be
customized on a per user basis as well as one click access to the HP Management Agents, Remote
