5. Fault correction
AL 128
No flame in modulating mode
The flame goes off during modula-
ting mode. Boiler goes into burnout
mode.
a) Clean the burner and the boiler. Check the waste gas pipe
to the flue and clean if necessary. Press Reset key.
b) Check ash box (see sect. 4.4) and cap for the correct posi-
tion and impermeability while assembeling - Risk of leak
air!
c) Conveyor screw is stuck due to foreign body. Clean the
storage container (see sect. 3.10) and remove the foreign
body from the opening above the screw. Refill the storage
container. The AL-message AL171 can reappear up to 2x
until the boiler resumes operation. Quit these messages
with the Reset key.
AL 133 Safety thermostat has been ac
-
tivated
Boiler temperature is over 100ºC.
Boiler goes into burnout mode.
Forced draught fan is turned off
immediately.
a) Check the water level and pressure in the heating system
- top up, remove air.
b) Air in the heating system - remove air.
c) Heating pump or boiler loading pump is stuck or defective
- Restart the pump or repair it.
Wait until the boiler water temperature is below 90ºC, re-
move the cover, and press the unlocking button on the
safety thermostat (Fig. 3 / Page 6).
Please contact the Hoval Customer Service or the heat-
ing engineer if the fault reappears shortly afterwards or at
regular intervals.
AL 135
Screw tube temperature too
high
Boiler goes into burnout mode and
pellets are fed into the combustion
chamber.
a) Check the water level in the water tank (see sect. 4.9). If
empty (Flash-back protection activated) contact the Hoval
Customer Service.
b) Check the burner and remove all the pellets from the burner
pot.
c) Open the combustion chamber door, remove the cover on
the safety thermostat screw tube, and press the unlocking
button (Fig. 3 / Page 6). If the ignition does not work on the
first attempt (AL 171), press the Reset key (pellets in the
conveyor screw have been affected by the elevated tem-
perature).
