4. Care, cleaning and maintenance
Clean the boiler housing and the keyboard surface with a wet cloth, if necessary. In case of more extensive
contamination, use soap water or diluted suds (do not use any corrosive substances or sharp cleaning de-
vices).
A clean boiler uses less fuel and is more environmentally friendly. For this reason, clean your boiler in
time!
4.1 Overview of cleaning and de-ashing intervals
Cleaning and de-ashing intervals can vary in length depending on the type of pellets used (e.g. ash content),
the output requirements of the heating system (frequent on/off switching) and the BioLyt boiler size (10 to
26 kW).
Tip: Cleaning and de-ashing intervals can be established as a function of pellet consumption. For this, read
out the pellet consumption on the InfoDisplay (section 3.7) and use it to calculate the individual intervals.
