USING YOUR OVEN
Before Using Your Oven
Be sure you understand how set the controls properly. Practice removing
and replacing the shelves while the oven is coo]. the information
tips the following pages. Keep this book handy you can refer to it,
especially during the first weeks of your new range.
The oven burner and broil burner are lighted by
electric ignition.
To light either burner, turn the OVEN SET knob to
the desired oven operation and the OVEN TEMP
knob to the desired temperature. The burner should
ignite within
seconds.
After the oven reaches the selected temperature, the
oven burner cycles—off completely, then on with
full flame—to keep the oven temperature
controlled.”
Power Outage
CAUTION: DO NOT MAKE ANY ATTEMPT TO
OPERATE THE ELECTRIC IGNITION OVEN
DURING AN ELECTRICAL POWER FAILURE.

OVEN SET Control

BAKE—Use this setting
for all normal oven operations-for example,
cooking roasts or casseroles. Only the bottom oven
burner operates during baking.
BROIL—Use this setting for broiling. Only top
(broil) burner will operate.
TIME BAKE—Use this setting to turn the oven
on and
at specified times when you want cooking
to start and stop. See Oven Timer section.
CLEAN—Use this setting for the self-cleaning
function only.
