¾
Generally clean the crop protection sprayer
before placing another crop protection agent.
¾
Flushing nozzle line and nozzles:
•
with each nozzle change
•
before the installation of other nozzles
•
before turning the three-fold nozzle head to
another nozzle.
¾
Couple the crop protection sprayer properly
to the tractor (see chapter Coupling and un-
coupling the machine)!
¾
Take appropriate action if an error message ap-
pears in the display during spraying operation.
¾
Check the displayed spraying pressure during
spraying operation.
¾
Make sure that the displayed spraying pres-
sure does under no conditions deviate from
the specified spraying pressure from the
spraying table by more than ±25%, e.g. when
changing the application quantity
¾
More significant deviations from the specified
spraying pressure will adversely affect the
optimal treatment success of the crop pro-
tection measure and/or cause environmental
damage.
¾
Reduce or increase the travel speed, until the
permissible spraying pressure range (of the
intended spraying pressure) is reached again.
¾
Never spray the spraying mixture tank com-
pletely empty (this does not apply for the end
of the spraying operation). Fill up the spraying
mixture tank at the latest when a filling level
of approx. 50 litres is reached.
8.2 Preparing the spraying
mixture
DANGER
Danger caused by accidental contact with
crop protection products and/or spraying
mixture!
When preparing spraying mixture there is the
highest risk of coming into contact with crop
protection product.
Strictly wear safety gloves and appropriate
protective clothes!
¾
Generally flush the crop protection agents
through the induction hopper into the spray-
ing mixture tank.
¾
Swing the illuviation valve to filling position,
before crop protection agent is filled into the
induction hopper.
¾
Follow the safety regulations when handling
crop protection agents and when preparing
the spraying mixture: Read the instructions
for use for the crop protection agent.
¾
Do not prepare the spraying mixture in the
vicinity of wells or surface waters.
¾
Avoid leakages and contamination with crop
protection products and / or spraying mixture
by acting appropriately and by wearing ap-
propriate body protection.
¾
Do not leave the prepared spraying mixture,
unused crop protection products as well as
contaminated crop protection product can-
isters and the uncleaned crop protection
sprayer unattended, to avoid dangers for
third parties.
¾
Protect contaminated crop protection product
canisters and contaminated crop protection
sprayer against precipitation.
¾
Ensure sufficient cleanliness during and after
spraying mixture preparation to keep the risks
as low as possible (e.g. thoroughly wash off and
dispose of used gloves. Dispose of washing
water and cleaning fluid in a proper manner).
