Adjusting the Feed Belt Suction Length
Sheets are lifted by the fluff air. And then the sheet is pulled by vacuum through the holes in the feed belt.
After the sheet has been transported to the register transport section, the vacuum is stopped and the sheet is
released. If sheets are not fed correctly, adjust the feed belt suction length using the Run - Settings screen.

Press or to adjust the suc-
tion length.
•
The taller the level bar, the longer the feed belt
suction length.
•
If mis-feeding occurs frequently when you use
thick or large sheets, set the feed belt suction
length longer.
•
When you increase the feed belt suction length,
increase the transport interval too. If the transport
interval is not increased, this may result in jams.
•
If the feed belt suction length is too long, the sheet
cannot be aligned with the register guide. If this
happens, the crease may be skewed.
•
If the feed belt suction length is too long although
the sheet length is short, the next sheet may also
be fed.
