Cause

How to solve problem

No batteries

Place batteries in the meter.

The batteries 
are loaded with 
the poles 
reversed.

Re-insert the batteries with the 
poles correctly oriented.

The battery 
voltage is low.

Remove the old batteries and 
correctly insert new dry-cell 
batteries.
Or connect the unit to the optional 
AC adapter.
