Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU)
Input of the MTU to be used for the
“PRP interface”.
The MTU default setting with value 1466 should not be necessary by de-
fault.
An incorrect configuration can lead to a loss of the network connection
which refuses the Ethernet access to Time Server 7052RC.
In that case the settings of Time Server 7052RC need to be set to "factory
default"!
The network interface ETH0 of Time Server 7052RC need to be connected to PRP network
"LAN A", network interface ETH1 need to be connected to PRP network "LAN B"!
If settings are done without profound knowledge of PRP, severe network prob-
lems can occur.
An incorrect configuration can lead to a loss of the network connection which
refuses the Ethernet access to Time Server 7052RC.
In that case the settings of Time Server 7052RC need to be set to "factory de-
fault"!
If the functionality PRP was activated, parameters for ETH0 and ETH1 can no
longer be adapted. The parameters will not be displayed in the host settings
menu as long as PRP is going to be deactivated.
