Flooded Engine
If the engine fails to start after repeated
attempts, it may be flooded with excess
fuel.
To clear a flooded engine.
1. Leave the engine stop switch set to
(RUN).
2. Push the choke lever forward all the way
to fully OFF (B).
3. Open throttle fully.
4. Press the starter button for 5 seconds.
5. Then follow the normal starting
procedure.
6. If the engine start, then open the throttle
slightly if idling is unstable.
If the engine does not start, wait for 10
seconds, then follow steps 1—5 again.
Ignition Cut Off
Your motorcycle is designed to
automatically stop the engine and fuel
pump if the motorcycle is over-turned (a
banking sensor cuts off the ignition
system). Before restarting the engine, you
must turn the ignition switch to the OFF
position and then back to ON.
