CONTROL LOCATIONS
Use the illustrations on this page to locate and identify the most
frequently used controls.
CONTROLS
Fuel Valve
The fuel valve opens and closes
the fuel line leading from the fuel
tank to the carburetor. Make sure
that the fuel valve is positioned
exactly at either the ON [1] or
OFF [2] position. When the
snowthrower is not in use,
always leave the fuel valve in the
OFF position to reduce the
possibility of fuel leakage.
Engine Switch
The engine switch controls the
ignition system.
ON [1] — Position for starting and
running the engine.
OFF [2] — Stops the engine.
Starter Grip
Pull this grip to start the
engine. See page 5 for
starting instructions.
Choke Knob
The choke knob is used
to open or close the
choke. CLOSED [1] is
used when the engine is
cold.
The OPEN [2] position
provides the correct fuel
mixture for operation after
the engine has warmed
up, and for starting a
warm engine.
Chute Guide Handle
Use this control to guide the snow discharge angle (from
low and near
[1] to
high and far
[2]) and direction (from
left
[A] to
right
[B]).
Auger Clutch Lever
When this lever is engaged
[1], the snowthrower auger
paddles begin to spin and the
snowthrower will move
forward. The snowthrower will
stop when the auger clutch
lever is released [2].
Do not engage the auger
clutch lever on cleared ground
or the snowthrower will move forward suddenly.
