Maintenance as Required
Checking the Air Cleaner System
The filter cartridge must be serviced when the flow resist-
ance of the filter is highest due to the restriction of the ele-
ment.
This is indicated by the sounding of the horn.
- Switch off the engine.
- Remove the hood.
- Open the three air filter cover clips (1).
- Pull down housing cover.
- Pull the air filter cartridge (2) out of the housing by
rotating it slightly.
Cleaning:
- Blow out air filter cartridge from the inside with maxi-
mum 5 bar air pressure.
Replacement:
- Install a new air filter cartridge.
Clean the air filter housing with a moist cloth before installa-
tion.
The installation of the air filter cartridge is performed in the
reverse order.
