8.1 Indications Given When a Warning Condition/
Fault Occurs
●
When a warning condition or fault occurs, the warning or fault lamp comes on.
Operating status indicator lamps
●
A confirmation message appears to indicate an operating error or to prompt for
process judgment.
●
If any "fault" occurs to incur a printing failure while the LCD backlight is
extinguished or if a "warning condition" occurs and calls for maintenance although
it does not invoke any printing failure, a window opens to display a fault message
or warning message.
●
The following on-screen indications are given.
If a fault occurs
The name of the fault is displayed here.
A message of the fault is given here.
The cause of the fault is indicated here.
●
When you press Clear after eliminating the cause, the fault condition clears
and the message disappears.
●
When you press Close , the fault window clears but the fault condition
persists.
●
However, if the fault condition does not exist any longer, only the Close key
is displayed.
