a.
Monitor refresh rate problem. Set your monitor refresh rate to 60Hz to fix the
problem. However, if you are using some other video card beside ATI Radeon or
Nvidia Geforce, you will need to contact us and verify it.
8) My Eye Client software is Version 5.X when I am connected remotely my Eye Client
displays black images on all the camera location screens. I have set my monitor
refresh rate to 60Hz.
a.
The Eye Client software version is not compatible with the DVR server. If the DVR
server is using 5.6.X software, the Eye client has to upgrade as well. The Eye
Client won’t display the image even though it is connected.
b.
Bandwidth Network Condition – Depending on the network condition, it may take
some time to bring the images onto the screen. This usually happens when the
user loads up Eye Client and tries to connect right away. This delay may be
caused by the latency of the packet to travel from the source to the destination.
Wait about 20secs and try to refresh the camera by clicking the screen division
button
9) I am using Pelco D protocol for PTZ camera. Whenever I click Auto on the PTZ
panel, it starts spinning and tilt upwards.
a.
There was a slight problem regarding Pelco D protocol in 5.3.5 version. Version
5.6.X fixes this problem. Please download newer software from the web site
(
http://www.hiscocanada.com/download.htm
)
10) I’ve just received my system but it doesn’t work at all.
a.
It happens sometimes because of careless handling. Please take the cover off
and then check whether every board has been plugged in properly. I suggest you
to check the hard drive first. You are also recommended to check the capture
board, CPU and RAM. After this, put the cover back and then turn it on.
11) The DVR is not recording
a.
When some or all the images are not stored
i. Check all the items in System settings
ii. Check camera connection and power condition
iii. Check the camera recording schedule settings (watch mode is not a
recording mode). In addition, check the motion setting. The motion area
must be set for the motion mode to be useable.
12) Remote monitoring on the Client system is not working
a.
Check the DVR system settings.
i. Make sure that the network use is selected in the System settings
ii. Make sure that a user id and password has been set in the User setting.
By default admin userID and admin password is blocked remotely
iii. Check that there is network connectivity between the client system and
