6.2  Voltage Sensors of the PD3259-50

Each voltage sensor of the instrument incorporates an internal 

electrode (metal plate). When the voltage sensor is affixed to the 

measurement target (cable), the minuscule current 

I

 flows due 

to capacitive coupling between the measurement target and the 

voltage sensor’s internal electrode.
