Installing a processor-heatsink assembly
Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends identifying the processor heatsink module components before
performing this procedure. See "
Processor, heatsink, and socket components
on page 12."
IMPORTANT:
The left and right sides of the chassis are oriented 180° from each other. Components
that are installed on one side of the chassis must be turned 180° when they are installed on the opposite
side.
IMPORTANT:
In a single processor configuration, processor 2 is not used.
IMPORTANT:
HPE ProLiant and HPE Synergy Gen10 server products do not support upgrading to
Second Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors at this time. For more information, see the product

NOTE:
Install the rear heatsink on processor 1 and the front heatsink on processor 2.
