(a) Engine oil level inspection/Top up
process
Check engine oil level each day before
operating the vehicle. The oil level dipstick (1)
is on the right crankcase cover for measuring
oil level. Oil level must be maintained between
the upper (2) and lower (3) level marks on
the oil level dipstick.
•
If required, add the specified oil up to the
upper level mark. Do not overfill.
•
Remove the tappet inspection cover. Slowly
accelerate and check the engine oil entry
into the cylinder head, engine oil will splash
out from the tappet inspection cover
opening.
•
Quantity of oil to be filled is 0.75 litre
(approx). during oil change (when right
crankcase cover is not removed).
•
Reinstall the oil level dipstick and check for
oil leaks.
(b) Engine
oil replacement/
•
Start the engine, warm it up for several
minutes and then turn it off.
•
To drain the oil, remove the oil level dipstick
and
drain plug (1).
•
Reinstall the oil
level dipstick
with a new
O-ring.
Oil circulation inspection
•
Start the engine and allow it to idle for few
minutes.
•
After c
hecking
the oil circulation, install the
tappet inspection cover.
•
Stop the engine and let the engine oil settle
down.
•
Wait a few minute until the oil settles down.
•
After the oil has completely drained,
reinstall the drain plug with a new sealing
washer (2).
•
Fill the crankcase through the filler hole with
approximately 0.75 litre of the
recommended grade oil.

3000 km
whichever is earlier.

emove the oil level dipstick, wipe it clean

and insert without screwing it in.
•
tart the engine & let it idle for 3-5

minutes.
