Turn the adjusting nut clockwise to decrease
the slack or anticlockwise to increase the
slack of the chain.

Rear brake pedal free play is affected when
repositioning the rear wheel to adjust drive

Tighten the rear axle nut and sleeve nut.

Lubrication

Check the drive chain slack again.
•
Turn the engine “OFF”, park the vehicle on
its main stand and shift the transmission into
neutral.
Rear axle nut torque: 5.2 kgf-m.

Lubricate the drive chain by applying liberal
amount of SAE#90 oil.

Align the chain adjuster index mark (5) with
the rear edge (6) of the adjusting slots on

rear axle is moved to the farthest limit of
