2. Assembly information

3. Assembly of the tubular motor

The following assembly instructions are valid for default installations in conjunction with heicko rechargeable tubular motors and accessories (Page 17).

The motor head can be mounted on each side of the roller shutter box / blind, left and right.

3.1 Assembly of the brackets

Please define the positions of both brackets in the roller shutter box.

With roller shutters: Wind up the roller shutter completely on the shaft and measure the diameter of the roller shutter.

Important! -

When installed, the rolled up roller shutter must be assembled vertically into the guide rail of the window.

Install the bracket depending on the type and site conditions.

Assemble the bracket in a way that the external setup button P1, remains accessible and that the charging socket of the rechargeable motor is easily
reachable.

The brackets must be installed in a way that the longitudinal axis of the motor runs exactly horizontally and has exactly the same
distances to the intake funnel of the roller shutter. A roller shutter that is not fitted correctly can block the drive and destroy it.

Determine length of the winding shaft

• Measure the distance between the brackets and the wall.
• Measure the roller shutter box and determine the length of the winding shaft needed. Customize winding shaft. Deburr inner and outer edges to prevent
injuries and to ease installing the adapter.

3.2 Placing the tubular motor in the winding shaft

The adapters that match the shaft formats are pre-assembled in the scope of delivery. In case another adapter is needed, instructions on our website
that describe the change of an adapter of our tubular motors are available.

The motor must not be striked with force into the winding shaft! This would only cause
damage and render the warranty invalid.

Important!

• Check package contents and compare with the scope of supply mentioned
• All assembly work related to the motor and the hanging is assumed to be carried out in a professional manner.
• The winding shaft must be mounted horizontally, with equal distances from the roller shutter rail guide! If the shaft is not mounted horizontally, it can

lead to damage of the motor, the rail guide or the window. Furthermore malfunctions are possible.

• Befo

re installing the motor, check the conditions of the hanging and the profiles and make sure that the conditions are met.

an not be ruled out that the hanging or separated interspaces do not close completely. In this case, there is no malfunction of the motor, but an
  unsatisfied mounting condition.
• The roller shutter box should have a built-in service hatch which should be easily accessible at all times. This means that the motor and ist connection

cable as well as the hanging and the connecting parts between the motor and hangings are reachable in case of service or for maintenance purposes.

40 mm octagonal shafts must be used with an external grooved seam. An internal grooved seam leads to damages on the motor,
shortens its service life due to a high torque resistance and malfunctions may occur. In this case the tubular motor is not covered by the
warranty and invalidate the right to claim under guarantee.

Intended use

Our tubular motors are exclusively designed for the opening and closing of interior systems like zebra blinds, shading and blackout blinds, venetian
blinds as well as light roller shutter systems. Please follow the operating instructions.

Requirements

• Only use original components and accessories provided by the manufacturer.

• A compatible charger must be available to charge the rechargeable

tubular motors.
  - Compatible charger for the motors ERSDC2803-35-BI, ERSDC1038-02-BI, item no. HR1200LA-7.4-USB or commercially available
Smartphone chargers with micro USB plug
  - Compatible charger for the motors HRSDC...BI, item no. HR1200LA-12.6

• The smallest possible shaft measurement (Ø or SW)

for ERSDC... is 18 mm and for HRSDC...-BI... is 40 mm

• Technical data as well as the mentioned values on the type batch of the rated torque and operating period need to be compatible with the
specifications of the driven element (e.g. roller shutter, interior blind).

The motor‘s head must be installed in an angle so that the charging socket is accessible for charging after installation.

HRSDC-ERSDC-BI_10.01_EN

The crown adapter as well as the drive adapter must not be screwed with the shaft.
