Dear Customers,

Thank you for choosing a quality product from heicko e-ast GmbH. We appreciate your trust.  Our rechargeable tubular motors enable the
electromechanical operation of roller shutters and interior blinds easily and cost-effectively.

Our tubular motors are developed and produced with a high degree of quality and reliability.
Furthermore they are maintenancefree and offer a long life span.

Important! - The user manual

This manual describes the installation and the operation of the rechargeable tubular motors, technical data on page 30.

Please read the instructions carefully and follow the safety instructions before starting to work with the motor / operating the blind.

Please retain this manual and hand it over to the user. In case of change of ownership, please hand over the manual to the subsequent owner. This
manual is also part of the warranty conditions.

Important! - Explanation of symbols

Safety and proper functioning of the product

Be aware of actions which might lead to injuries or damages. These instructions must
be observed and followed.

For disposal use "electrical / electronic junk" collection points offered by local authorities or disposal services. Point out that the device
includes a battery.

1. General safety information

Using defective devices can endanger persons and incur material damage.

• The drive must be checked for perfect condition

• Never use defective or damaged devices.
• If you notice damage on the device, the device must not be used. In this case please contact your specialised company or
  dealer.

A risk of injury exists if the device is not used for the intended purposes, as described in the user manual.

• Responsible persons should be instructed of the safe use of the roller blind with rechargeable tubular motor.

• Personnel should keep a safe distance away from the moving roller shutters.
• Children should be kept under supervision and playing with the controls should be prevented at all times.

Remote controls should not be left within reach of children.

• Our battery motors work with an operating voltage of 8 or 12 V DC and thus correspond to protection class III - which means that protection by low
voltage against electric shock. Further protective measures for electrical safety are not required.
• Since the battery supply eliminates the connection to the electrical building network, no electrician is required for the installation.
•

ERSDC2803-35-BI and ERSDC1038-02-BI:

Charging the motors must be done with a charger with micro USB plug (not included), e.g.

Item no. HR1200LA-7.4-USB. The charging electronics of the motor‘s batteries are tuned to this charger.

 HRSDC...-BI:

The charging of the motors must be carried out exclusively with the charger, item no. HR1200LA-12.6 (not included). The charging

electronics of the motor‘s batteries are tuned to this charger.
• When using external chargers, we assume no warranty / liability for errors in the charging process and resulting damage.
• The permanently installed Li-Io batteries can not be removed from the roller blind and are therefore not changeable.
It is important to ensure that no liquids can penetrate into the motor. If the poles of Li-Io batteries are short-circuited there is a risk of fire or even
  explosion.
• After charging the motor, disconnect the charger from the motor and remove it from the mains supply.
• Maintaining the battery capacity to 100% promotes the aging of Li-Io batteries and therefore reduces their life.
• The batteries are subject to low self-discharge. If the motor has not been in use for a long period of time, we recommend charging the batteries at the
latest after about half a year
• Do not charge the batteries at freezing temperatures (only for outdoor use, such as external roller shutter box) - see also technical data. If frost is
announced, charging should be performed as soon as possible.
• We recommend to charge before the winter in the last frost-free late autumn days. With normal use (1 cycle per day), you can safely use the motor
throughout the winter with one charge.
• The duration of the motor's battery capacity depends on certain factors, e.g. the load and the application habits. As a result of changing / swapping
application habits, the duration of the battery capacity of the motor per battery charge may fluctuate.
