Corrective Action
Ensure that 110 VAC is connected.
Ensure that 110 VAC supply is properly
grounded in the junction box.
Ensure that gas shut off is turned on.
Ensure that the fuel supply is properly
connected.
Purge gas line of air.
Check fuel supply and connections to
LP tank.
Check wire connections
Replace High temperature limit switch.
Check location of sensor.
Check that glass latches are properly
engaged. Remove glass, inspect
corners and tighten gasket if applicable.
Check for leaks.
Check for proper installation and
freedom from debris or blockage.
Adjust the air shutter at the base of the
burner.
Check for proper log placement.
Check that glass latches are properly
engaged. Remove glass, inspect
corners and tighten gasket if applicable.
Ensure the vent cap is installed
properly and free of debris. Ensure that
the inner vent pipe has no leaks in it.
Ensure that the glass is tightened
properly on the unit, particularly on the
top corners.
Symptom
1. The main burner
does not light.
2. The main burner
extinguishes while in
operation.
3. The glass soots.
4. The flame burns
blue and lifts off the
burner.
