Turning Test
With the Fanterra folded up and parked on parking stands, the
turning shut-off slide is opened and the seeding tray/bucket
shall be placed under the outlet.
REMEMBER to close the shut-off slide after the seeding
adjustment.
Remove the drive shaft at the UJ and fit the calibration handle.
IMPORTANT: Always rotate anti clock wise.
To ensure you get an accurate calibration you must rotate the
metering system 360 degrees to ensure that all the seed flutes
are full, return any seed in the tray back to the hopper and set
the mechanical hectare back to zero.
IMPORTANT: The turning shall ALWAYS be made with the handle
– NOT with seed wheel – due to the gearing in the land wheel
chain case.
Emptying:
After seeding is completed or changing to another type of seed,
the seed hopper is emptied as follows:
The emptying gate (A) may be opened and closed while the
seed runs down into a bucket or similar.
After that the emptying plate (B) is opened by means of the two
black thumbscrews, and the hopper may now be completely
emptied.
With the emptying gate open, the cell wheel is turned a few
times in order to empty all the seed flutes. After each change of
seed types use compressed air around and in the metering
system to ensure that it is keeps clean.
Remember to close the emptying gate and emptying plate
before you fill up with new seeds.
When you store the machine, you must leave the emptying plate
open.
