Starting up
D
Use the flat ribbon cable to connect (a maximum of 8) modules to the
MP70DP (see Fig. 4.5, page 20). This establishes the supply voltage
connection, the CAN Bus connection and the synchronization connection
between the modules.
D
Connect the MP70DP to the 24 V supply voltage as described in chapters
4.2, and use the keyboard to set the required PROFIBUS address.
ATTENTION
Comply with the safety instructions!
The device performs a function test, initializes the (slave) modules (about
40 secs) and then, if this runs properly, it is in measuring mode.
During the
function test, the control outputs stay at 0 V.
The yellow LED
1)
shows you that the module is ready for measurement.
If the LED glows
1)
red, please also continue reading in chapter 11, “Error
messages".
NOTE
Set consecutive CAN node addresses at the modules (MP70DP(‐S7) is
given the lowest address).
The connected slaves are also re‐initialized by selecting the
combination and the operands !
NOTE
When synchronizing several modules, one of the connected modules
(e.g. an MP30), must be declared the master. All the other modules
(including the MP70DP) must be set to slave.
