6.5 - OPERATION
The system is functional from the moment when the machine is no longer in stowed position,
i.e. when the micro drive speed is activated.
When the switch bar is triggered, current movement is stopped and only safeguard
movements are available from platform control panel (lowering, retracting or reverse
movement according to movement which create the incident) until the reset button is pushed
or until the power supply is switched off
Visual and audible warnings will alert personal at ground if rescue is necessary.
To operate safeguard movement from platform control panel :
• Joystick and/or switch must be reset to neutral position (function inactive).
• Enable switch must be activated.
• Operate safeguard movement using joystick or switch to move away from the hazard that triggered
the device.
• Press the yellow Reset button to restore normal operation of the machine
• All movements can be operated from the ground control station even if the secondary guarding is
triggered.
N.B. -:-Any modification from the factory settings (increase of the movement speed and/or ramps ) via
the console can increase stopping distances after system activation and therefore cause a reduction of
the area of security.
