(b) Visually examine each stud for evidence of
movement.
(c) Remove the torque check tool AST-2968-1 while
visually examining each stud and insert for evidence
of movement.
(d) If any stud or insert rotates due to either the
tightening or removal of the torque check tool, all
studs/inserts that fail the torque requirement must be
replaced. Refer to an appropriately licensed repair
facility for stud/insert replacement.
(4) Using Quick Dry Stoddard Solvent or MEK, clean the
engine flange and the propeller flange.
(5) Install the specified O-ring on the engine flange. Refer to
Table 3-1.
(6) If the 106943 spacer is attached to the propeller hub with
screws, proceed to step (8) in this section.
(7) If the 106943 spacer is not already installed on
the propeller hub, perform the following installation
procedures:
(a) If the hub flange does not have two 8-32 threaded
holes to attach the spacer, or if two attachment
screws were not provided, perform the following
steps:
1 Apply a layer of grease to the hub-to-spacer
O-ring. Refer to Table 3-1.
