•  The product should be replaced with a 

new one every 5 years to ensure correct 
performance and load-bearing capacity.

•  The product is intended as a complement 

to, and not a replacement for, fire drills, 
evacuation plans, smoke detectors, fire 
extinguishers and other basic fire safety 
measures and equipment.

•  The maximum permitted load is 150 kg 

and no more than three people may be 
on the ladder at the same time. 

•  The product is not a toy. Instruct children 

that the ladder is to be used only in an 
emergency or an adult-supervised 
evacuation drill.

•  The product should only be used to 

evacuate a whole family if the primary 
escape route is blocked or unsafe to use.

•  Do not carry pets or objects when using 

the product.

•  Do not carry children when using this 

product, unless absolutely necessary.

•  Make sure that the product is long enough 

for its purpose. The product may only be 
used from second-floor windows or lower.

•  The manufacturer cannot be held liable 

for bodily injury, damage to property, 
indirect loss, consequential damage or 
any other loss or damage whatsoever 
arising from use of the product.

     IMPORTANT:   
It must be possible to open the escape 
window at least 30 cm. The maximum 
window sill depth for the ladder is 30 cm.

for emergency evacuation of a building in 
serious situations where there is threat to 
human life. It is therefore important that 
you read the instructions carefully and 
familiarise yourself with the product so 
that you know how to use it should an 
emergency situation arise. Incorrect use 
can result in serious or fatal injury.

•  The product is intended for one-time use 

and must only be used for emergencies. 
The product must be discarded after use. 
Repeated use of the product can result in 
serious or fatal injury.

•  Normal use of the product can cause 

scratches and marks on surfaces inside 
and on the building. 

 

– The product should not be used with 

storm windows or other windows 
that, for whatever reason, cannot be 
fully opened to at least 30 cm. 

 

– Do not use a window above a 

conservatory, roof or other structure 
that can block the evacuation. 

 

– If possible, do not use a window that 

has other windows below it – risk of 
damage to the lower windows and/
or their frames and sills. 

 

– Do not use a window that is blocked 

by furniture, a radiator, AC unit, or by 
security barriers, such as grilles or 
bars (without internal release 
mechanisms).

 

– Only use a window that is structurally 

safe to bear the load for which the 
product is designed.

 

– Check whether there are any obstacles 

outside the window, such as electricity 
or phone wires, or a fence.

•  The product should be inspected regularly
