Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean
there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you
can correct the malfunction.

Never try to repair an appliance which is defective or presumed to be defective. You
can put your own and future users’ lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are
allowed to carry out this repair work.
Wash result is not satisfactory

The water is too hard or there is not
enough detergent
Use the amount of detergent rec-
ommended by the manufactur-
er for the water hardness in your
area.
Too much laundry in the drum
Only load the drum with the maxi-
mum amount of laundry intended.
Selected cycle is not right for the
level of dirtiness of the laundry
Select another wash cycle or
adjust the level of soiling (see
page EN-15 and page EN-19).
Water temperature too low
Wash laundry at a higher water
temperature, select another wash
cycle or increase the water tem-
perature (see page EN-15 and
page EN-19).
Stains were not pretreated
Treat stains with ox-gall soap or
stain remover if necessary.
Too much foam is cre-
ated during the wash
cycle
Too much detergent used
Next time, use less detergent.
The detergent is not suitable for the
washing machine
Use a detergent that is suitable for
the washing machine.
Fabric softener/fab-
ric-care product was
not dispensed
Insert in fabric softener/starch com-
partment was not installed properly
or is clogged
Remove insert and install it again
properly; clean if necessary (see
page EN-27).
Laundry is discoloured Laundry was washed at too high a
temperature
Bleach laundry carefully if neces-
sary.
