Installing the transport safety
devices
• Reinsert the transport safety devices (15)
before moving the washing machine
every time. For this purpose, follow the
steps described above in the reverse se-
quence.
Installing washing machine
The installation site must fulfil the following
requirements:
– The installation site must be frost-proof.
– There must be a water supply and drain as
well as a power socket nearby.
– Even after setting up the appliance, the
mains plug must be easily accessible.
– The ground must be secure, even, clean
and dry.
– The appliance must not be positioned di-
rectly on a rug or carpet as it will then not
be adequately ventilated and can overheat.
Where rugs, carpet, parquet or wood-
en floorboards are present, place a sta-
ble wooden plate measuring at least
60 × 60 cm underneath the appliance.
– When positioning on a wooden plate or
base, these must be equipped with in-
dentations for the screw-on feet so that
the appliance does not migrate off it when
spinning.
– For smooth tiled floors, lay a rubber mat
under the screw-on feet.
Aligning the washing machine
(39)
1. Loosen the lock nut of one of the screw-
on feet underneath the appliance.
2. Manually screw or unscrew each foot until
the washing machine is level.
3. Twist the lock nuts (39) of all screw-on
feet upwards to the underside of the ap-
pliance and tighten the lock nuts against
the underside of the appliance.
