Important user information
The hob is intended to be fitted into a kitchen
worktop or the like. If you have the requisite
skills, you can fit the hob yourself. However,
the electrical connection must be carried out
by authorised specialist staff.
Requirements
To ensure proper operation, the following re-
quirements must be met:
– The hob complies with heat protection
class 'Y' (EC 335-2-6), which means that
with higher kitchen furnishings or walls it
may be installed on only one side. The
built-in furniture must have coverings and
the adhesives used must be heat-resistant
(100 °C). If this is not the case, this can
lead to deformation or detachment of the
covering surface.
– The distance between the hob and the ex-
tractor hood must be at least 760 mm.
– Do not install the hob directly next to a re-
frigerator or freezer. This will increase its
energy consumption unnecessarily due to
heat emission.
– You must leave at least 100 mm of free
space below the recess for ventilation pur-
poses. No heat-sensitive items (cabinets,
drawers etc.) should be found in this area.
Any side walls or drawers which are pres-
ent must be sawn out or dismantled ac-
cordingly.
Preparing food
To ensure proper operation, the following re-
quirements must be met:
– The worktop must be at least 30 mm thick
and at least 590 mm deep, must be hori-
zontal and level and must be sealed on the
wall side against overflowing liquids.
– The hob must be surrounded by at least
50 mm of worktop on all sides.

– If the hob is separated from the rest of the
built-in unit by a horizontal fixing plate,
the space between the base of the appli-
ance and the fixing plate must be at least
100 mm high.
– If the hob is separated from the rest of the
built-in unit by a vertical fixing plate, the
space between the wall and the fixing plate
must be at least 30 mm.
– At the back of the fixing plate, a square
opening with sides of at least 80 mm must
be cut out.
– If the hob is installed over an oven with
ventilation, the clearance between the
base of the appliance and the cover of the
oven must be at least 100 mm.
– At the front of the hob there must be an air
outlet at least 10 mm in size between the
hob and the oven or floor unit.
– Veneers, plastic coverings and adhesives
used must be heat-resistant up to 100 °C.
