XV. Operational method of lead acid battery
I. Lead acid battery and its application
Lead acid battery is used for power start engine, and it can be for voltage regulation and overload
generator substitute power, it has following strengths: low internal resistance, stable end voltage,
large support current, low water cost, huge capacity, nice starting performance at low temperature,
light pole corrosion, light mass, low fault rate, convenient maintenance. The maintenance-free
batteries are all sealed besides 2 vent holes (for overflowing a little air from battery) at the side of
maintenance-free battery. Low-maintenance lead-acid batteries plus liquid left in the battery cover
mouth.
II. Storage and transport of storage battery

Storage battery should be placed in 5

, dry and ventilated place, avoid fireworks,
avoid direct sunlight and radiation and backing of other heat source, avoid rain, and also
keep away from the children.

The storage batteries cannot be stacked over four layers, separate each layer with paper
board so as not to damage battery poles.

Battery must be handled with care. Tilt, inversion,throw or heavy load is prohibitted in case
of battery leakage or damage.

As to the battery equips with lifting rope or handle, check if the lifting rope or handle is firm
before carrying the battery, and do not shake it repeatedly for fear that the rope or handle
get off and the battery fall down.
Caution
Periodically maintain or check the charging status for the battery not used or not often
used.
Maintain the maintenance-free battery once three months.
Maintain the ordinary lead-acid battery once a month.
III. Battery check and maintenance
If the truck runs a long time without stopping, park it over 30 minutes, and then you can check
and dismantle it.

Check if the battery case cracks, damages or leaks electrolyte.

Do not overdischarge the battery in the use, charge in time when the voltage is below 12.5V.

Some batteries install battery display and indicate the battery power.

Make sure the battery terminals are free from erosion or crack, connection is not loose, and
fixing clip is firm.
