NEEDLE STOP POSITION
1. Note: When the needle up/down
button is pressed the needle should stop
just before the take-up lever
is
at the
highest position with green up arrow
illuminated or the needle at the lowest
posit
i
on with the red down arrow
illuminated.
If not hold down the needle
up/down button and the bobbin winder
button at the same time and turn on
the machine.
2. Lower the needle bar by turning the
hand wheel towards you and stop
when
the red and green arrows are
both illuminated. T
he needle
point
should be
18.7 mm above the surface
of the needle plate (
one step down
from highest step on QM39401 step
gauge).
3. If you need to make an adjustment locate the upper shaft shielding plate and
loosen the screw. Turn the shield plate towards you until the green LED light
just turns on.
The point of the needle should be 18.7mm above the needle plate
as both lights turn on. If so then
tighten the shield plate screw very gently.
