program development at institutional and department level. Using the Product, it is possible to
give a scientifically thorough assessment of each shift, staff or age group’s hand hygiene
behavioural pattern.
Once either WiFi or Cellular data is set up, you can start using the Reporting System. For further
details please see
section 8
.
4.12. Date and time
Date and time are set automatically when the scanner is online. If the date and time setting reset

The Product comes with pre-installed regional packs. Language settings can be changed from
the Reporting System.

employee cards issued by the institution, it must be configured through the administration

5. UV-marked hand hygiene training agent
The Semmelweis Scanner must be used with a special UV-marked alcoholic handrub. The
performance of the scanner was tested with the Semmelweis Training Rub and Gel. The
Scanner may be used with other manufacturers’ products of the same specification as well (e.g.
Visirub products (BODE Chemie GmbH, Hamburg)
mixed with Sterillium
Chemie GmbH, Hamburg), Schülke Optics, B. Braun Fluo-Rub, Ecolab MagicBlue, Anios
Fluorescent Gel, Dermalux Alcohol Tester II.)
UV-marked alcoholic hand rubs are typically only registered for training purposes.
Since the hand sanitizers are alcohol-based, they are highly flammable, they can be
irritating to the eyes and vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness.
Always read
the Safety Data Sheet of your UV Labeled training product prior to the first use.
Ask the Supplier for
more information
on the handrub.
