CAT setting.
This is a simple fix solution for those applications that are experiencing problems in managing Radios connected to the EZMaster Port
RadioA and/or Port RadioB .
Due to the different behaviours of applications, in term of execution time and polling cycles to the radios, an EZMaster fine-tuning
configuration has been added to allow these software applications to work correctly.
This setting is valid only when EZMaster is used in EXTENDED Mode.
Leave the program COM setting at 19200,8,n,1 and set the Radio speed as defined in EZMaster Port setting, the default being
9600,8,n,1.
Start the application and, if some trouble are experienced in reading the frequency, it is possible to try to set the EZMaster CAT Setting
as described below:
Select with the UP arrow, on the EZMaster front panel, the menu "CAT SETTING”
press RET, then select "RADIO PORT A"
or "RADIO PORT B" and press RET.
The display will the show "CAT DELAY = 0". With the UP/DOWN arrow you can define the CAT delay to Radio. Good values are in the
range from 0 to 10. A value of 4 is the right one for most applications.
After having selected the right value press RET to exit from this menu.
The CAT Delay is then saved into EZMaster and there is no need to set it again, unless you may need to change it for other reasons.
