EZManager
EZManager is the advanced tool used to test all the EZMaster’s functionalities. It is not intended for basic configuration of EZMaster for
use by a logging program - for that you should use EZConsole. EZManager simply allows you to test out the various commands and to
check that they are operating correctly with your own system configuration and also to set some of the more advanced options of
EZMaster.
Start the EZManager program, by selecting the relevant icon on your desktop, or through the Windows Start menu, and the following
window will be shown:
A description of EZManager function buttons and TAB selection will follow.
General TAB
Within the main General Tab select the USB Port and configure the default speed values 19200,N,8,1 and the XON/XOFF protocol for
Flow Control. If COM or AUX cables are connected from PC to EZMaster select the corresponding port and then click OPEN.
At this point the SEND button, which was formerly grayed out, becomes available and the EZMasterTAB mode selection is enabled.
Standard and Extended mode are the default modes, where no commands are sent to EZMaster. These modes are the most common
modes used with standard PC connections, like Parallel and RS232 cables, and are the modes which allow a complete compatibility with
all the currently available software applications, even DOS, Windows or Linux. The Advanced mode is the next generation interface that
allows a full control of EZMaster only via one single USB port. Few developers, at the time of writing these notes, are evaluating to
support EZMaster in this mode with the exception of Wintest..
Users can experience these functions, by selecting the Advanced Tab, and play with EZMaster commands only with the USB cable
connected: no more power supply cables, no parallel cable, no more RS232 cables!!
