VALVE ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT
Ifyourvalverequiresmaintenanceorreplacement,
usethefollowinginstructions:
Note: Always shut off gas and disconnect
electrical supply before removing the
valve.
1. Openthefrontpanelandremovethecoverplate
byremovingtwoscrews.
2. Disconnectgaslinetostove.
3. Disconnect3/8"NPTpipefrom90
o
elbowon
valveorflexconnector.
4. Disconnectthetwo(2)switchwiresfromvalve.
5. LiftofftheCastTopandremovetheCastFront
andglassdoor(seedetailedinstructioninthis
manual).
6. Carefullymovelightbracketoutoftheway.
Screws
7. Carefullyremovethelogsandembers.
8. Removeburnerbyremovingthe2screwson
eachsideandthenliftingtheburnertrayout.
Note: Use a magnetic type screwdriver if pos-
sible.
9. Removebackbracketbyremoving1screw.
10.Removefrontbracketbyremoving2screwsin
locationsshownbelow.
11.Remove10screwstoremovevalvetray.
13.Liftvalvetrayassemblyupandoutofunitto
remove.
14.Replacewithnewvalveassemblyandreverse
stepstoreinstall.
12.Disconnectthefollowingwirespriortoremoving
valveassembly:
a)SparkwirefromIFCboard(X2)
b)FlamedetectwirefromIFCboard(X3)
c)SteppermotorwireharnessfromIFCboard
(X6)
d)Orangewirefromgasvalve(EV1)
e)Greenwirefromgasvalve(EV2)
f) Yellow ground wire located under where
orangewirewasdisconnectedongasvalve.
