Picture on monitor jitters
during playback
Try one or combination of the following during time-
lapse playback:
Adjust Horizontal and Vertical Hold on monitor.
Adjust Tracking controls on front panel.
Adjust V-Lock on front panel with VCR in Still
mode.

"Alarm" light flashing in Digital
Display
An Alarm has occurred. Press "Alarm Reset" button
to clear.

Tape will not eject
Check if "Lock" is lit on the Digital Display.
Deactivate Lock mode or contact supervisor.
Momentarily remove AC power, then check warning
codes.

Unit does not start rerecording
after rewind
Check the Recycle options setting in Alarm Record
Options menu.

Cannot change programming
Is unit in Timer mode? Deactivate Time mode.
If operating any of the units functions, put unit in
Stop mode.
Check if "Lock" is lit on the Digital Display.
Deactivate Lock mode or contact supervisor.

Menu programming does not
hold after power loss
Keep unit powered for a minimum of 24 hours to
charge internal battery.

"Error" is lit on Digital Display
Unplug AC power to VCR, wait 5 seconds, restore
AC power. Immediately press "Eject" button to
extract tape. If unit repeatedly goes into "Error
condition, service is required.
Appendix C: Warning Codes
Cannot display VCR menu on
monitor
Check cabling. If unit is connected to a device such
as a quad or multiplexer, set device to "play/view",
"live", or other setting to access VCR menu.

Adjust tracking controls. Set 6-hour control to 12
o'clock position. Set slow tracking to 10 o'clock
position.

VCR does not change speed
during alarm
Review setting in Alarm Record Option Menu.
Verify correct Alarm Input wiring to the VCR.
Manually short the Alarm Inputs pins 1 to 15 and
verify the VCR recognizes the alarm.
